The location of this apartment close to the Mar Menor,  which is the world's largest saltwater lagoon and its crystal clear shallow waters make it a haven for water sports and child safety. The position could not be any better for any one wanting a beach and water sport holiday as it is only a 150m walk in either direction that will put you on the Mar Menor beach with its wealth of activities or the blue flag beaches of the Med.

The Mar Menor has many activities including, water skiing, sailing, boat charter, jet skis, snorkelling, scuba diving etc. Within walking distance there are restaurants and bars to suit all lifestyles. Further south on the strip brings you into lots of other choices and a more vibrant nightlife.

Coast/Beach



Due to the unique position of this apartment, you are within 1 minute  walk of 2 beaches, 1 is on the Mediterranean side of the La Manga Strip, with the Mar Menor opposite. The beaches on the Mar Menor are also known as the healing beaches due to the minerals contained in the mud.  People cover their bodies with the mud to aid arthritis and muscle aches and healthy skin. The nearest healing beach is within 10 minutes walk and as is beachside restaurant serving  snacks and refreshments.

Golf



  The famous La manga club golf courses are within 30 minutes, please note there is a 9-hole pitch and putt with driving range within 5 minutes walk.

Travel



Murcia (San Javier) airport is 35-45 mins and hire car or taxi transfer is essential.

For those not wishing to have a hire car we can arrange airport transfer one-way or return, and for flexibility make arrangements for a hire car. The hire car can be one way also ie: collected at airport but returned in La Manga or vise versa, this allows flexibility for those not wanting a car for the full duration of your stay in la Manga.

There is a bus stop outside the apartment and is 1.05€ one way any where on the La Manga strip.

Distances



The historic town of Catagena is 30 mins by car and also Murcia town the vibrant capital town is 40 mins by car.



Nearer is the old fishing village Cabo de Palos 20 mins by car.



A perfect place for a relaxing drink and meal.

Only 5 minutes by car is the Thomas  Maestre Marina where you can find a selection of bars and resteraunts and icecream parlours catering for all tastes and nationalities. Not to be missed !

Further details



The nearest supermarkets are 1 mins walk. There are several select bars and restaurants also within 2 mins walk. The local marina has many bars and restaurants which can be very lively during the summer months.

From the Marina there is a daily ferry service taking you over to the other side of the Mar Menor to Santiago de Ribera where you can explore the Spanish sea side villages. Wednesday is a good day as it is market day !
