Within the provience of Cartagena but only a few kilometres from Puerto Mazarron, La Azohia is a small recreational and fishing port offering a haven for summer homes and visitors. Currently being developed but still holding its intimacy and uniqueness.
The village is famous for tunny fishing, an age-old art practised by the Arabs. Beyond La Punta de la Azohía, the coast changes to cliffs, with solitary beaches such as Cala Cerrada and Cala Abierta, excellent places for bathing, accessible by sea or walking down narrow footpaths, ideal for those who enjoy active tourism and peace and quiet.
La Azohia is one of the many towns & cities in the beautiful region of Murcia Spain. Discover Murcia Costa Calida with the history, local information, property sales and holiday listings at Viva-Murcia.com
