The Construction begun in 1536, the plans were done by Jerónimo Quijano and it was built by the stonecutters Martin of Homa, Pedro Antequera and Andres Mount. It was inagurated on the 27th of December, 1573.
In the interior, they emphasise the chapels of the Muñoz, Mora, Melgares and Conejero, with grills of the master Gines Garcia.
The tower is work of Damián Plá, starting in 1610 and being concluded by the end of 1741.
