Calabardina is a small tourist resort just 9 kilometres from Įguilas. From the beach of Calabardina there are lovely views towards the southwest of the Sierra de Cabrera and Mojacar can be seen perched on its hilltop.
The village is right next to the Regional Park of Cabo de Cope-Calnegre, where, on the wild beaches, the fisherman stand silhouetted against the distant pale blue mountains.
Although the buildings are new, pretty rows of townhouses in the Spanish style have been constructed near the beach, whilst the villas on the outskirts are well maintained with trees, shrubs and flowers.
The number of people who live here all year round is growing, and Calabardina has its own Health Centre, chemist, supermarkets, hotels, restaurants and bars.
The summer months are busy, but during the rest of the year, the inhabitants can reside peacefully in this tranquil place, yet enjoy everything that the livelier fishing port of Įguilas nearby can provide, from its large Saturday market to its numerous restaurants and bars.
