The main door of the house opens on to and large hallway which has two original storage jars for oil and water set in to the wall. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom open off this hallway the bathroom is a very large room. Upstairs there are 4 very large double bedrooms and a sitting room with views over the front of the house, plus a second bathroom

 Outside of the house is an integral garage/workshop and to the side there is a covered area which then goes around the back of the house and is an ideal storage area, currently the owner stores their logs for the winter in this area, there is also a utility area and space for freezers.

There is a terraced area to the front of the house which is shaded by trees and has views over the countryside   to the towns of Cehegin and Caravaca de la Cruz and the mountains.

The 6000 square meter plot includes a veg plot and chicken run with both chickens and ducks which produce an abundance of eggs. The land to the side and behind the property is terraced with many varieties of fruit trees including Almond, Apricot, Peach Cherry, Fig, Apple, Orange, Lemon, Plum, Sharon fruit, Nisperos and Pomegranate. As well as these there are over 70 olive trees producing 80-100 Lt's of virgin oil a year, and also mature grape vines.  Land water is used to water these trees and cost approx 100 euros per year.

There is a satellite dish for TV so no monthly bills. Internet and phone are available through wireless provider.

There are no urbanisation fees

The electric works out approx 40€ per month and water approx 20€. There is bottled gas for cooking and heating water

There is a local agricultural co-op in Cehegin who will buy all the produce from the land around the house and this where the owner takes the olives for pressing. Dirty water from the washing machine goes into a large tank and is used to water pot plants around the house. 

The veg patch grows courgettes, peas, broad beans, kale, butternut squash, cabbage and  tomatoes.

The town of Cehegin is about 5 minutes away by car but there is a via verde (green road) which runs close to  the property and you can walk to the town in about 20 minutes you can also cycle along this route but no cars!

Cehegin has a school and a number of supermarkets a medical centre and a sports centre with pool as well as a beautiful old town with lots of character.

Caravaca de la Cruz and Calasparra are close by and are worth a visit.

The Airport at San Javier is about 1 hours drive away and there will soon be a new airport which is  being built at Corvera.
