This is a typical Spanish style apartment, it as two double bedrooms and a large lounge/dining room with views over the beach and the waters of the Mar Menor which are only three to four meters away across the promenade. In each room there is a large ceiling fan which with the breeze off the Mar Menor keep this apartment cool during the hot summer days.
It is possible to sleep 6 people but this incurs extra charges.
It is a short walk to the shops and the Tuesday market and other amenities of the area. The Waters of the Mar Menor are very shallow so the water is nice and warm and ideal for children.
LOS ALCAZARES
LOS ALCAZARES is a busy Spanish resort on the Mar Menor Lagoon, with a vast array of shops restaurants, cafes and banks. There is a small shopping mall within a 5 minute drive with a small supermarket, a variety of shops, cafes.
The beach area has a tiled, palm-lined promenade running alongside the Mar Menor Lagoon. If you continue along the promenade you will come to a livelier beach area with sun beds and pedalos and further along to Los Alcazares, a popular resort with a sandy beach, bars, cafes, shops. The whole area is very flat and is ideal for cycling or just promenading.
The area around Los Narejos is full of lively small resorts and historical towns. From Los Alcazares pier you can take boat trips to nearby islands, view the Mar Menor by night, or perhaps take a BBQ trip. Apart from Roda Golf you have Torre-Pacheco which is 12 minutes away by car and La Manga Golf, which is 15 minutes by car plus many other well known golf courses within easy reach.
The resort lies just 25 mins drive from the beautiful cosmopolitan city of Murcia with its many restaurants, tapas bars, designer clothes shops, baroque cathedral and bull fighting ring and the largest shopping mall in Europe.
Torrevieja is within a 20 minute drive and is surrounded by salt lakes which are home to a variety of wildlife including pink flamingos which are protected within the La Mata nature reserve. The town has a large marina, fun fair, promenade which is bustling from early evening with street artists and stalls, a harbour walk and abundant bars, shops and restaurants.
Going north Alicante is worth a look as are the many beaches and bays all along the Costa Blanca and of course Benidorm is only an hour away with it's vast selection of attractions including the Terra Mitica theme park, Mundomar sea life attraction and Aqualandia water park
The Costa Calida is situated south of Alicante and Torrevieja on the Costa Blanca and north of province of Almeria. The regional temperatures can be higher than any other on Spain's Mediterranean coast. The Mar Menor is renowned for its healing effects from salts that it contains.
One of the area´s main atractions is the variety of golfline resorts thoughout the Murcia region with good travel links, local airport and motorways providing easy access to all golf courses. The Murcia province is steeped with history and tradition with many fiestas throughout the year.

THE CITY OF MURCIA is described as one of the most beautiful and historic in the country. The city stands on the banks if the river and enjoys all year round sunshine. It has the highest temperatures in the region. There is a great deal of Moorish influence in the city, not least of all the impressive city walls. After the re-conquest, the 20 mosques in the city were turned into churches. The Cathedral is the most highly prized building in the city. The first foundation stone was laid in 1388 by Bishop Pedrosa. It took four centuries to complete. There are so many different styles and cultures within, including 23 different chapels.
As you wander through the city, there is a monumental building on every corner. Many are in pristine condition and those that aren't are being restored to their former glory. One building worthy of a mention is the casino (pictured below). Here in the 19th century, worthy citizens would sit to be admired like fish in a goldfish bowl. The palatial interior is quite amazing.
The Cathedral - A symbol of the city: the ninety- six meter tower with is twenty- five bells, can be seen high above the city from miles around.
The Romea Theatre - Named after the famous local actor, Julian Romea, as is the square in which it stands, built at the northern end of the Arab city wall.
The Church of "Nuestro Padre Jesus" - The main feature is the set of eight processional floats belonging to the fraternity and the 556 figures of the world- famous Christmas Crib.
The Casino - Dating back to 1847 contains a lovely library, the hidden secrets of the Lady's Powder Room, a magnificent Moorish patio and a splendid Neo-baroque Ballroom.
The Bishop's Palace - The Bishop's Palace Its central courtyard, main staircase, Bishop's Balcony (known as "El Martillo") and Palace chapel should be seen.
The Convent Church of Santa Ana - Not only an architectural pleasure but visitors are recommended to sample the delicious freshly - baked cakes which the Sisters of the Enclosed Order sell. CATHEDRAL DE SANTA MARIA

Cartagena - The old naval city of
Cartagena is another place of interest with stunning architecture, Roman theatre and castle which can be seen whilst taking the tour bus with English commentary outline the history of the city. You can also take a ferry around the harbour and out into the Mediterranean.
